Monday Motivation: Your Breakthrough Year

Alice asked Cheshire Cat, “Would you tell me please which way I ought to go from here?”, “That depends a good deal on where you want to get to,” said Cat. “I don’t much care where,” said Alice. “Then, it does not matter which way you go,” said the Cat.

Good Morning; it is Monday and it is the first full week of the new year; the new decade – 2020! Much of the current mantra is about your “20/20 Vision” or your “Purpose” or your “Dream” as you move forward. I believe it is important that we have a vision or dream for our future so we can begin to create our pathway forward to realize that dream; but what if you do not have clarity on that right now? Do any of you out there feel a bit like Alice at times; not knowing which path to take or which way to go? If we were honest, all of us at one time or another have felt like Alice. That is ok! Just because you do not have your vision mapped out perfectly does not mean you have to stop and stall yourself on making progress and living your best life each day.

One way you can continue to make progress and move your life forward is to shift your mindset. What do I mean by that? Well, think about it. Is there any area of your life where you always seem to have a “conditioned response”, (like Pavlov’s dogs), to a situation, a person, your work environment, etc. For example, is there a conditioned response you display when someone cuts you off in traffic, or a way you respond to loved ones when you come home from a long, hard day of work, or a response you choose when you lose your patience at work, etc.? If you spent time thinking about it, these responses many times do not serve you, the situation, or the outcome well. Ask yourself, “Do I want to live my life this way being tossed “to and fro” by emotions or do I want to do it differently?” Charles Swindoll said, ““Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it.”

So, to continue to improve, move your life forward and live your best life each day, think about one area of your life that you would be served well by shifting your mindset or paradigm. For 2020, BREAK FREE from the same old predictable response; from creating the same old patterns in your life. Reprogram your brain to respond differently. Write it down; keep it in front of you or front of mind. By slowing yourself down and choosing a different response to the situation you will begin to build a new habit. It will become a new way that you will see the world around you. It will shift your energetic vibration.

What kind of BREAKTHROUGH do you want to experience in 2020? Make this the year that you BREAK FREE and BREAK THROUGH from the old patterns. Create a  new path and pattern and experience a new outcome. Challenge yourself to see things from a different perspective and make choices to respond differently. I promise you that as a result, new insights will open up to you.

Here’s to YOU in 2020! Make it your BREAKTHROUGH YEAR 😊!
