Happy Friday! How was your week? I hope you were able to carve out some time to focus on following one of your passions dreams, or goals. On your path to self-discovery and fulfillment, you are involved in a lot of “doing”. There is a constant ebb and flow going on and it is important to realize and honor the state of constant change you are going through. Because of this continuous change, your needs for self-care are also constantly evolving.
Every day, every week, and every season of life brings different needs and in order to truly take care of yourself, you need to check in with yourself each day. Ask yourself some questions. What does my body, my soul, my mind need right now? What is my intention for this day? Remember, there is no right or wrong answer. What you need in that moment deserves to be honored.
When you ignore your need to take care of self, you may begin to experience uneasiness, stress, feel burned out or disconnected. To avoid these negative effects, following through with implementing self-care into your daily routine is imperative. Giving yourself exactly what you need will allow you to show up in a more productive, meaningful way. It will impact your attitude, your work, and your relationships. It will also enable you to connect with and care for others in a healthy way.
Take some time this weekend to check-in with yourself. Assess what you need and honor those needs. See how it effects your mood, your day, your interactions. Give yourself what you need and watch yourself and the world around you bloom 😊!
