What You Do Today is Important

Guess what!? It’s Friday! I say it nearly every week, but it is worth saying again, “the weeks just fly by” .… can you believe that Monday is October? Soon, the holiday season will be here! I think it is important to take time now to continue building the habit of “being present”; so that you don’t get swept away with all of the “to do’s”; so that you don’t “miss out” on the beauty that unfolds in each day you are given.

When I was reading the quote below, I especially wanted to share it in light of the fact that we are quickly approaching the holiday season. It is a reminder to slow down, cherish each day, and realize that what you put into each day becomes your legacy. As you wake up each morning, affirm that it is new day and that it is important because it is a day of life you are given to use in whatever way you wish. How do you want to use this day and each day you are given? If you begin to practice this now, by the time the holiday gets here, you will definitely have honed the habit of “being in the present moment” and “relishing the here and now”.

This is the beginning of a new day. You have been given this day to use as you will. You can waste it or you can use it to your advantage. What you do today is important because you are exchanging a day of your life for it. When tomorrow comes, this day will be gone forever; in its place is something that you left behind…let it be something you’re proud of.”

Each morning take time to think about the wonderful gift you have of “today”. What will you do to make the most of if? When the day is over, what kind of impact will you have made?

Remember – whatever you do each day, you are exchanging a day of your life for it. Be present, create experiences that give hope and happiness to yourself and others. 😊

Have a GREAT weekend. Take Care!
