Happy Friday!! I hope you had a GREAT week. I also hope you have a GREAT day! Remember - you will never have this day again. As you start your day, and go through task by task, it is easy to take the day for granted! When you are tempted to do this – STOP – remind yourself to live in the here and now for the present moment is all you have!
We are entering the Labor Day weekend. Labor Day constituted the creation of the labor movement and is dedicated to the social and economic achievements of workers. It is also a part of our history that was created to handle the problem of long working hours, no time off and honoring the worker. It is important to remember that Labor Day is not just another day off. It is a deeply rooted historical holiday that makes our lives what they are today.
So, what are you going to do to celebrate and honor the history of Labor Day? If you haven’t thought about it much in the past, maybe this is the year to begin a new ritual that honors the original spirit of Labor Day. What will you do to disconnect and unplug to give yourself the rest and relaxation that your mind, body and soul needs to recharge? What will you do to reconnect with life, family, friends, nature, or any of life’s other simple pleasures?
It is my wish for you that you create happy memories that brighten your day; that you cultivate a bit of silliness, surround yourself with people you care about; and that you truly live a life you love! There is a quote that you may have heard in the past that goes like this, “No one gets out of this life alive; so, MAKE EVERY DAY COUNT!” What will you do this weekend to make it count?
Have a GREAT Labor Day Weekend. ENJOY! 😊
